Classic Vanilla Milkshake
The timeless classic — pure vanilla ice cream blended with cold whole milk into a thick, dreamy milkshake. Simple, perfect, and utterly satisfying.
Method
- 1
Chill your glass
Place your serving glasses in the freezer for at least 10 minutes before serving. A cold glass keeps the milkshake thick and frosty for longer — this small step makes a big difference.
- 2
Blend the milkshake
Add the vanilla ice cream, cold whole milk, and vanilla extract to a blender. If using a vanilla pod, scrape the seeds in too. Blend on medium speed for 30–45 seconds — just until smooth and creamy. Do not over-blend or the shake will become too thin.
- 3
Taste and adjust
Taste the shake and add condensed milk or sugar if you prefer it sweeter. Blend for another 5 seconds. The shake should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon — if too thin, add another scoop of ice cream and blend briefly.
- 4
Pour and serve
Pour into the chilled glasses. Top generously with whipped cream and a light dusting of vanilla powder or a drizzle of honey. Serve immediately with a wide straw.
