Lemon Tea

Bright, zingy lemon tea — black tea with a generous squeeze of fresh lemon and a touch of honey. Refreshing hot or cold, and wonderful for sore throats.

Method

  1. 1

    Brew the tea

Bring water to a boil. Add tea leaves or bag and steep for 3–4 minutes for a strong brew. Remove the leaves or bag.

  2. 2

    Add lemon and honey

Squeeze in the fresh lemon juice and add honey. Stir until the honey dissolves completely.

  3. 3

    Taste and adjust

Taste and adjust — more lemon for tartness, more honey for sweetness. The balance is personal.

  4. 4

    Serve

Pour into a cup or glass. Garnish with a thin lemon slice on the rim. Serve hot, or pour over ice for a refreshing iced lemon tea.
