Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
Intensely chocolatey cookies with a cocoa dough loaded with chocolate chips. Fudgy, rich, and deeply satisfying — for serious chocolate lovers.
Method
- 1
Cream butter and sugar
Beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- 2
Add dry ingredients
Sift together flour, cocoa, bicarbonate of soda, and salt. Fold into the butter mixture until just combined.
- 3
Fold in chocolate chips
Fold in the mixed chocolate chips. The dough will be thick and fudgy.
- 4
Bake
Preheat oven to 175°C. Scoop dough into balls onto lined trays. Bake for 10–12 minutes. They will look underdone — that is correct.
- 5
Cool
Cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring. They firm up to a fudgy, brownie-like texture as they cool.
